See

Collocation Node: see

Collocation Overview

See is primarily a passive, effortless verb of vision. It means light enters your eyes and registers in your brain without you actively trying (a "stative" verb). Beyond vision, see heavily collocations with cognitive realization (understanding a concept) and scheduled meetings. Because its primary meaning is a state rather than an action, it is rarely used in the continuous "-ing" form unless referring to dating or appointments.
